1084 assistant teachers promoted to associate professors

Some 1,084 assistant professors of BCS (Education) cadre have been promoted to associate professors.

The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education of the Ministry of Education issued the order on Tuesday (June 29).

Among the promoted teachers are 73 of Economics, 3 of Arabic, 2 of Arabic and Islamic Education, 7 of Islamic Education, 67 of Islamic Education and Culture, 77 of English, 62 of History, 68 of Botany, 6 of Agriculture, 6 of Home Economics, 65 of Mathematics, 68 of Philosophy, 82 of Physics, 7 of Statistics, 55 of Zoology, 55 of Bengal, 73 of Management, 18 of Geology, 8 of Psychology, 76 of Chemistry, 81 of Political Science, 27 of Social Welfare,  11 of Social Science, 2 of Sanskrit, 1 of Finance and Banking and 65 of Accounting.

Besides, 1 of Islamic Ideology of Teacher Training College, 2 of English, 2 of History, 2 of History, 4 of Guidance and Counseling, 1 of Home Economics, 2 of Mathematics, 1 of Professional Ethics, 1 of Bengali, 2 of Geology, 2 of Political Science, 1 of Science and 5 of Education were also promoted to associate professors from assistant teachers.

These promoted teachers have been asked to join the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education as officers in charge until further notice.
