DU celebrating its centenary with symbolic programmes

The 100th founding anniversary of country's premier Dhaka University (DU) is being celebrated through symbolic programmes today (July 1).
Due to the deteriorating situation of Covid-19, university authorities decided not to hold any kind of programme in-person, said a press release.
As part of symbolic programmes, a virtual discussion will be held marking university's 100th founding anniversary at 4:00 pm, with Vice Chancellor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman in the chair.
Language Movement hero and Columnist Abdul Gaffar Choudhury will present the key note speech on 'Centenary of Dhaka University: Looking Back' as the chief guest in the discussion.
Major programmes marking the centenary of the university will be held on November 1, with amid enthusiasms and festivity, read the release.
