1 lakh non-MPO teachers, staff getting cash assistance

Around one lakh non-MPO teachers and staffers are going to get financial grant from the government. The already has been started procedure.

Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education of the Education Ministry sources said, each teacher of non-MPO schools and educational institutes will be given a one-time cash assistance of Tk 5,000 and an employee Tk 2,500 through the electronic fund transfer by the Finance Division. That’s why Tk46.63 crore were allotted under the incentive packages of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

In the first phase, a total of 14,858 non-MPO teachers will receive Tk5,030 each while 3121 staffers will get Tk2,515 each to minimize their hardship rendered by the Covid-19 pandemic.
