Non-Government Teachers Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA) has recently made recommendations to recruit 38,000 teachers to different educational institutions across the country, after a long suspension of teachers’ appointment to the Monthly Pay Order (MPO) listed institutions.

There has been a delay in this appointment. The recruitment process got stuck in police verification process after the final recommendation.

When asked over the matter, Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni on Wednesday (October 27) said a press briefing at the ministry, “Recruitment remained suspended to the educational institutions for long days. Considering that, we give a notice of large recruitment of 54,000 teachers. Of them, 38,000 eligible candidates have been recommended to various institutions.”

She said, “We want teachers to come into the profession with qualifications and a perfect process. So they have been brought under verification.”

Asked when the verification process could be completed, she said, “We are trying our best. Since this is a job under another ministry, that is their business. However, we will urgently complete the process.”
