38,000 teachers to be appointed keeping verification underway

The government has taken an initiative to appoint 38,000 teachers despite the verification is underway. 

The Ministry of Education has taken the decision in a meeting.

According to the decision, keeping the verification continue, the recommendations will be given for the appointment of these teachers.

Additional secretary (secondary-2) of the Education Ministry Fouzia Zafrin confirmed the information on Monday (January 17).

He said, “After the appointment of any person, if anything objectionable is found against the person in police verification, the appointment will be canceled. Basically, the verification is conducted for that reason. The Ministry of Education will direct NTRCA to take action in this regard.”

According to sources of the ministry, police verification activities are underway for the teachers who have received initial recommendation for recruitment in non-government educational institutions. Due to the large number of teachers, verification is taking time. That is why such a decision has been taken. Verification activities will continue. The Non Government Teachers Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA) will also issue letters of recommendation. Instructions in this regard will be issued soon.

It was learned NTRCA published a public notice on March 30 last year for appointment of more than 54,000 teachers in the non-government educational institutions. The government has taken an initiative to recruit the teachers reserving 2,200 posts for various writ petitioners.

Due to non-receipt of applications and lack of qualified candidates in the women’s quota, it was recommended to appoint 38,286 persons keeping excluded 15,325 posts.

Police verification of 32,283 people is being done as 6,000 candidates have not been sent without completing the verification form.
