The Ministry of Education has taken an initiative to appoint 38,000 teachers despite the verification is underway.
The ministry has taken the decision at a meeting recently. According to the decision, keeping the verification continue, the recommendations will be given for the appointment of these teachers. The ministry has already sent a letter to the Non-Government Teachers Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA) to implement the decision.
After getting the letter, NTRCA held a meeting in presence of its chairman.
About the decision of their meeting, NTRCA Secretary Md Obaidur Rahman told risingbd as the Education Ministry has given the directive we will issue recommendation letters soon to all.
To responding a question, he said Special Branch of Police has completed all verification activities. Teachers should not be worried as after the appointment of any person, if anything objectionable is found against the person in police verification, then the appointment will be canceled only.
In responding to another question, the NTRCA secretary said both the two agencies-SB and NSI- will conduct the verification activities.
Police verification activities are underway for the teachers who have received initial recommendation for recruitment in non-government educational institutions. Due to the large number of teachers, verification is taking time. That is why such decision has been taken, he said.
It was learned NTRCA published a public notice on March 30 last year for appointment of more than 54,000 teachers in the non-government educational institutions.
Due to non-receipt of applications and lack of qualified candidates in the women’s quota, NTRCA initially recommended to appoint 38,286 persons keeping excluded 15,325 posts.
