DSHE issues 11-point directives over educational institutions

The government has issued directives to remain closed all educational institutions until February 6 due to the rise of Covid-19 infection. However, virtual classes will be held during the period, said the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE).

DSHE issued 11-point directives in this regard on Saturday (January 22).

The directives are given as follows-

1.    Class activities in person will remain shut until February 6.
2.     At this time the educational institution authorities will continue the learning activities online/virtual platform based on reality.
3. Covid-19 vaccination programmes for 12-17 year-old students will continue in accordance with proper health guidelines.
4. Extreme care must be taken to keep all the electricity, telephone, internet, water and gas connections of the institutions including closing classrooms, libraries and laboratories, uninterrupted and secure.
5. During the period, special attention should be given to the maintenance and overall security of all the resources of the educational institutions.
6. The chief of educational institution can keep the teachers and staff engaged in responsibilities in accordance with the hygiene rules in case of emergency of institution.
7. The dormitories of the educational institutions where students are staying will remain open till further notice. However, everyone must adhere to strict hygiene rules.
8. All officers, teachers and staff working in all departments and educational institutions under the department must be vaccinated for coronavirus.
9. The office of the educational institution will remain open as usual. The daily activities will continue in accordance with the hygiene rules.
10. The ongoing sports competitions in different parts of the country organized by the National Schools, Madrasas and Technical Sports Associations will be suspended till further notice.
11. Regular cleaning activities should be continued in the educational institutions.
