SUST teachers’ Association for immediate steps over VC

The SUST (Shahjalal University of Science and Technology) Teachers’ Association has requested the government to take immediate steps over the resignation of VC Farid Uddin Ahmed.

The association came up with the request in a press release with four-point demand issued around 8:15 pm on Sunday (January 23).

The four-point demand as follows:

1.    (We) strongly condemn the barbaric police attack on students and teachers. The government should immediately form an impartial probe body and identify the culprits and take befitting action against them.
2.    All that needs to break the hunger of protesting students should be done without any delay. (We) are seeking cooperation of the government in this regard.
3.    The issue of VC’s resignation is under jurisdiction of the government. In this case, it is being requested to take immediate action.
4.    (We) are urging the government not to get involved in any kind of violence against the protesting students.
