VC of SUST passes night without electricity

Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) Professor Farid Uddin Ahmed passed the last night without electricity as agitating students cut off power supply to his residence.

However, there was an alternative way to light up at the VC’s residence throughout the night. No one was seen entering the residence at the time except members of the law enforcement force.

Earlier around 7:30 pm on Sunday (January 23), the agitating students cut off power supply to the residence of the vice-chancellor.
Students said they would continue the movement until resignation of the university's vice-chancellor.

Protesters briefed media on Sunday afternoon. They said that they would stop any scope of freely entrance for someone to VC’s residence.

Mentionable, 23 SUST students went on hunger strike until death on Wednesday (January 19) demanding resignation of VC. Later, more five students joined it.
