‘None from my family involved in varsity land acquisition’

Education Minister Dipu Moni said that none from her family was involved in the land acquisition for Chandpur Science and Technology University.

The minister said this while addressing a press conference at her residence in the capital on Thursday evening (January 27).

She said, from the information I have, I can say that my elder brother sold the land before the acquisition. I don’t have any purchased land in Chandpur.

"The allegations are false, fabricated, and ill-motivated, '' she claimed.

The minister also said that whenever any development work is undertaken in Chandpur, a vested quarter tries to put a barrier. However, no conspiracy can stop the establishment of this university.
