UGC approves three new faculties in BUET

University Grant Commission (UGC) has given final approval to launch three new faculties in Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).

UGC issued a letter in this regard to BUET authority on Thursday (May 12).

The new faculties are- Faculty of Post Graduation Studies, Faculty of Chemical and Materials Engineering and Faculty of Science.

Besides, another institute named the Research and Innovation Center for Science and Engineering, has also been approved.

BUET VC Satya Prasad Majumder said, “UGC yesterday (Thursday) officially sent a letter approving three new faculties. It is being considered to introduce some more faculties and subjects in line with the present times. We have plans to include artificial intelligence as well.”
