CUET closed till July 5 following BCL factional clash

Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) has been closed till July 5 following a clash between two factions of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL).
All students have been asked to vacate their halls by 10.00am on Wednesday.
CUET Registrar Professor Dr. Faruk-uz-Jaman Chowdhury confirmed the news on Tuesday.
According to the sources, two factions of CUET unit BCL locked into a clash on Monday over a previous enmity. On Tuesday, two groups took position on the campus and one group stopped the transport service that created tension.
The CUET authorities took the decision on Tuesday after a meeting with the departmental heads.
