33,479 candidates absent on 2nd day of SSC exams

Some 33,479 candidates were absent across the country on the second day of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and its equivalent examinations.

A total of 81 students were expelled on this day (September 17).

Earlier, some 33,860 candidates were absent across the country on the first day. 26 students were expelled on that day.

A press release signed by Tapan Kumar Sarkar, president of the Inter-Education Board Coordination Sub-Committee, revealed the data.

This year, 20,21,868 students from 29,591 institutions have registered themselves to take the SSC and equivalent exams under 9 general education boards, the Madrasa Education Board and the Bangladesh Technical Education Board.
