Akbar’s condition critical: Daughter appeals to save her father

The condition of well-known vocalist Akbar, who has been admitted to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) and Hospital, is very critical.

His daughter Othoi confirmed the matter.

Akbar has been suffering from different complexities including diabetes and kidney issues. His physical condition deteriorated after Eid-ul-Azha. From the waist down to toes has been paralysed.

Othoi has posted a status on her father’s Facebook handle. She wrote, “My father's condition is very critical. Doctors say anything can happen at any time. Everyone will pray more and more for my father so that we can get our Dad back home as soon as possible. Dad is in a lot of trouble. Oh Allah, ease my father’s pain a little. Get Daddy well soon, Amin.”

Akbar becomes an artist from a rickshaw puller overnight. He came to discussion by singing Kishore Kumar's song ‘Ek din pakhi ure Jabe Akashe’ on the magazine show Ittadi.

However, he made audience surprised by singing his original song ‘Tomar Haat Pakhaar Batase’ again. He was passing days quite well at that time. But the happiness did not last long. He became seriously ill. His family is going through hardship during coronavirus crisis.
