Legendary actress Sujata admitted to hospital

Legendary actress Salma Begum Sujata, popularly known as Sujata, has been admitted to a hospital in the capital after suffering a cardiac arrest on Wednesday (November 25) morning.

The popular actress is undergoing treatment in the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) of National Heart Foundation Hospital in the capital.

Confirming the news, General Secretary of the Bangladesh Film Artistes' Association Zayed Khan said, “Our legendary actress Sujata madam has suffered a cardiac arrest. She is now in the CCU.”

He urged all to pray for early recovery of Sujata madam.

Sujata is best known for her role in Rupban (1965) as Rupban Konna. In 2017, she became the recipient of Bangladesh National Film award for Lifetime Achievement.
