Bangladesh set 291-run target for Zimbabwe to escape series defeat

Bangladesh set a 291-run target for Zimbabwe in the second ODI of the three-match series to escape series defeat at the Harare Sports Club in Harare on Sunday (August 07).

Bangladesh, thanks to two half-centuries, managed to score 290 runs by losing nine wickets in 50 overs.

Mahmudullah Riyad hit a brilliant innings of 80 runs from 84 balls with three boundaries and as many over-boundaries.

Tamim Iqbal smashed 50 runs off 45 balls with 10 boundaries and an over-boundary.

Afif Hossain scored 41 runs and Afif Hossain posted 38 runs.

Mushfiqur Rahim bagged 25 runs while Anamul Haque Bijoy scored 20 runs.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz hit 15 runs and Taijul Islam six runs.

For Zimbabwe, Sikandar Raza smashed three wickets and Wesley Madhevere got two wicekts. Victor Nyauchi and Victor Nyauchi shared a wicket each.

Mentionable, Zimbabwe beat Bangladesh by five wickets in the first ODI.
