Rupert Murdoch and Jerry Hall finalise divorce

Media mogul Rupert Murdoch and Jerry Hall have finalised their divorce to bring to an end six years of marriage, reports standard.co.uk.

News of the split broke last month when the former supermodel, 66, filed for divorce in a Los Angeles court, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the marriage breaking down.

The court petition has now been withdrawn after Hall and Murdoch, 91, privately agreed to the terms of their split, according to a report in the MailOnline.

“Jerry Hall and Rupert Murdoch have finalised their divorce,” a joint statement from their lawyers read. “They remain good friends and wish each other the best for the future.”

The former couple met in Australia in 2015, and took their romance public with an appearance at the Rugby World Cup final at Twickenham in the autumn of that year.
