India approves Oxford vaccine

India has approved ‘Covishield’ the coronavirus vaccine developed by Oxford-AstraZeneca for emergency use on conditions.
Now it will now be sent to the Office of the Drug Controller General (DCGI) of India for final approval.
Two sources with knowledge of the matter told this to Reuters.
On Friday, the Indian government cleared the vaccine, paving the way for its rollout in the world’s second worst affected country.
This is obviously a good news for Bangladesh as the country will get the vaccine through Serum Institute, an associate manufacturer of Covishield in India.
CDSCO experts will meet for the second time next Wednesday (January 6). However, they did not agree to comment on the matter, the media said.
