A 31-year-old man was shot Sunday morning in Lincoln Park on the North Side. About 4:30 a.m., he was inside a short-term rental property in the 900-block of West Wrightwood Avenue, when he was shot in the buttocks, Chicago police said. They self-transported to Stroger Hospital and are in stable condition, police said. No one is in custody as Area Four detectives investigate.

About 2:40 p.m., a person entered the vestibule of an apartment building in the 4900 block of South East End Avenue and asked to use a phone before firing shots in the direction of the women, Chicago police said.
