Police recovered six dead bodies of a Bangladeshi family from an apartment in Dallas city of Texas in the United States.
Two brothers, who study in the university, have committed suicide after killing their parents, sister and grandmother, according to police.
The bodies were recovered on Monday (April 5) morning local time.
Police recovered the bodies of 19-year-old twin brothers Farhan and Farbin Towhid, their older brother Tanvir Towhid, 21, and their parents Iren Islam, 56, and Towhidul Islam, 54 and the children’s grandmother Altafun Nessa, 77.
Police sent the bodies to a hospital morgue for autopsy.
Police said they believe the brothers killed their family members, then themselves.
“Apparently two brothers made an agreement to commit suicide and ended up taking the entire family with them,” Sgt. Jon Felty, a police spokesman, told The Dallas Morning News.
A social-media account that belonged Farhan Towhid contained a link to a lengthy letter that presaged the killings.
Police believe that the incident happened sometime Saturday.
