Global death toll from coronavirus exceeds 33 lakh

A total of 9,929 people died from coronavirus infections worldwide in the last 24 hours, raising the total number of deaths in the virus to 33,06,313.

Besides, some 6,43,906 people got infected with the virus worldwide over the same period, bringing the total number of infected cases to 15,89,56,182.

International survey organisation Worldometer disclosed the information on Monday (May 10) morning.

The first coronavirus outbreak occurred in Wuhan, China, in December of 2019. It started spreading in different countries of the world since then.
