Biden approves $735million weapons sale to Israel

US President Joe Biden has approved the sale of another $ 735 million worth of weapons to Israel in the midst of tensions between Israel and the Palestinians.
The Washington Post published the news on Monday (May 17) local time.
According to the Washington Post, on May 5, the US Congress was officially notified of the proposed sale.
The incident took place about a week before the start of the ongoing violence.
Some of Biden's Democrat colleagues have reportedly disputed his sale. They have criticized the approval of arms sales.
A Democrat on the Congressional Foreign Affairs Committee said the sale of the proposed smart bomb would only lead to more carnage without forcing Israel to agree to a ceasefire.
