Covid-19 positive cases exceed 18 crore worldwide

More than 18 crore people have been infected with coronavirus (Covid-19) infections and over 39 lakh people have died from the virus disease across the world so far.

A total of 8,456 more people died from coronavirus infections worldwide in the last 24 hours, raising the total number of deaths in the virus to 39,07,269. On the other hand, the death toll in the virus was 8,249 in the previous day.

Besides, some 4,24,300 people tested positive for coronavirus (Covid-19) worldwide over the same period, raising the total number of infected cases to 18,03,57,481. But a day before, the number of daily coronavirus cases was 3,69,588.

Meanwhile, some 16,50,78,287 people made recoveries from the virus infections across the world so far.

International survey organisation Worldometer disclosed the information on Thursday (June 24) morning.

The first coronavirus outbreak occurred in Wuhan, China, in December of 2019. It started spreading in different countries of the world since then.
