Budget is reasonable, realistic and pro-people: Obaidul Quader

Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader has said the proposed national budget for fiscal year (2024-2025) is ‘reasonable, realistic and pro-people’.

Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said this while speaking at a post-budget press conference held at the central office of the Awami League at Bangabandhu Avenue in the city on Sunday. 

 “We are taking measures to bring the unexplored income to the mainstream of the economy by paying 15% tax. This will improve the banking system. An opportunity has been given to whiten black money in the budget to recover the money hidden in the hands of many”, he said.

The Awami League general secretary has said that there is no headache regarding the comments of CPD, TIB, and Sujan on the proposed budget for fiscal year 2024–25.
