Foods being sent to Saint Martin

Foods are being sent to the Saint Martin for the residents of the island through a ship named the MV Baro Aulia.

Due to the ongoing conflict in Myanmar's Rakhine, Cox's Bazar's Teknaf-Saint Martin shipping route has been suspended for a week. As a result, around 10,000 dwellers of the island are suffering from food crisis.

Following the crisis, carrying food items, a ship named MV Baro Aulia left BIWTA Ghat at Nuniarchhar of Cox’s Bazar this noon for the island (June 14).

Cox’s Bazar additional district magistrate (ADM) Md Yeasin Hossain confirmed the matter.
