AL leader Gas Babu admits to killing

Kazi Kamal Ahmed Babu alias Gas Babu, relief and social welfare secretary of Jhenidah district Awami League, has given a confessional statement that he was involved in the murder of Anwarul Azim Anar MP.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Jasim recorded the statement on Friday.

Assistant Commissioner of DB Police Mahfujur Rahman, also investigation officer of the case, applied to record the statement.

On June 9, a Dhaka court placed Gas Babu on a 7-day remand for questioning in Anwarul Azim Anar MP murder case.
