Lightning strikes kill 5 in two districts

At least five people were killed by lightning strikes in two districts on Saturday.

Four people, including a woman, were killed by lightning strikes in Langadu upazila of Rangamati on Saturday afternoon.

The deceased are Rina Begum, 35, Ziaul Haque, 50, Obaidullah, 30, and Bacchu Mia, 30.

Rangamati Police Super Md Maruf Ahmed and Langadu police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Harunur Rashid confirmed the news of deaths.

A Md Ishak Mia, 45, was killed in a lightning strike in Chauddagram of Cumilla in the afternoon.
