National Eidgah ready

The holy Eid-ul-Azha, the second biggest religious festival of the Muslims, will be observed on Monday (June 17) across the country with due solemnity and religious fervor.

The National Eidgah ground adjacent to the High Court is fully prepared for the main congregation of holy Eid-ul-Azha under the overall supervision of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC).

Around 35,000 devotees, including women, will be able to take part in the prayers together on this ground. 

All preparations have already been completed in the National Eidgah field of about 25,400 square meters. Separate prayer places have been made for the VIPs. 

Sources said that there will be a gate for VIPs in the Eidgah. Besides, a gate for the public and a separate gate for women will be kept there. 

Many air coolers and a sufficient number of fans have been installed in the Eidgah venue.
