No security threat centering August 5: Home Adviser

Home Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury has said that there is no security threat centering August 5.

 “There is no security problem over August 5. Everything is well with the blessing of Allah,” he said while replying to a question from journalists at the Home Ministry in Bangladesh Secretariat on Wednesday. 

 Asked about the 11-day special drive centering August 5, the Home Adviser said no countrywide drive is going on around August 5 rather the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) is conducting an operation.

 Asked about the government measures regarding the attack on Hindu people at Gangachara in Rangpur district, he said, “All involved in the attack will be exposed to justice.”
