Ministry mulling 3 plans over opening school and exams

The Primary and Mass Education Ministry is mulling 3 plans over opening school and arranging examinations.

The plans are: There will be a short syllabus for PEC examination when schools will open in next September.

If schools are opened in October-November, then the annual examination will be held on MCQ with 50 marks in respective schools and the primary students will face oral test.

And if schools open in December, the Ministry of Primary Education plans for auto-pass.

State Minister for Primary and Mass Education M Zakir Hossain told this to the reporters at the Secretariat on Wednesday (July 12).

He said, ‘Proposals over the plans will be sent to Prime Minister on next Sunday (July 16). Then, the decision will be taken.’

All educational institutions remain shut from March 17 due to coronavirus pandemic. In this situation, Bangladesh Examination Development Unit has submitted a 39-page report to the Ministry of Education on the decision of high-ups of government.
