BB freezes bank accounts of PK Haldar, 82 others

Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) of Bangladesh Bank has frozen bank accounts of 83 persons including Prashanta Kumar Halder (PK Halder), former Managing Director of NRB Global Bank and Reliance Finance.

The step was taken on Thursday (August 12) following the request of ACC deputy director also investigation officer Gulshan Anwar.

Sources from the watchdog confirmed the matter.

ACC also summoned nine persons of three directors of Hall International and managing director (MD). They will have to appear before the watchdog on August 18.

Earlier on August 10, ACC summoned five persons including PK Haldar. He is a fugitive now. There is an allegation that he fled abroad with around Tk 35 billion.
