Murder case against OC Pradeep dismissed

A Dhaka court dismissed murder case filed against 29 people, including the officer-in-charge (OC) of suspended Teknaf police station officer-in-charge Pradeep Kumar Das.

Md Abbas Uddin, judge at Maheshkhali Senior Judicial Magistrate Court passed the order on Thursday (August 13) noon.

However, the court issued a direction to deploy a ASP level officer to investigate more in the case.

Md Hamidul Haque, a lawyer of the plaintiff in the case confirmed the matter.

Earlier on Wednesday (August 12), Hamida Aktar, wife of late Abdus Sattar filed the murder case against 29 people, including suspended officer-in-charge (OC) of Teknaf Police Station Pradeep Kumar Das.
