Each district needs plasma centre: Dr Zafrullah

Gonoshasthaya Kendra's founder and trustee Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury put emphasis on setting up plasma centres in each district.

“Covid-19 creates various symptoms. Covid-19 infected people become so weak although in most cases, patients recover. In such situation, the matter of giving plasma deserves more publicity. It is necessary to set up plasma centres in each district under the supervision of Hemato Oncologist Professor MA Khan,” he said.

Dr Zafrullah said this while inaugurating a plasm centre at Gonoshasthaya Nagar Hospital in Dhanmondi on Saturday (August 15).

Plasma will be collected from the blood of 25 people every day, who recovered from coronavirus, at Gonoshasthaya’s plasma centre, he said.
