Govt extends age limit for jobs

The government has issued a circular extending age limit for all government jobs except Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS).

The circular signed by Deputy Secretary Dipankar Biswas confirmed the matter on Thursday (September 17).

Following the notification, now the government job-seekers will get five months of exemption on the entry age limit due to the coronavirus pandemic.

According to the new order, all ministries, departments, statutory bodies, autonomous organisations and nationalised institutions to fix March 25, 2020, as the date of an applicant’s maximum age in their recruitment advertisements (excepting BCS) processed before March 25, but could not be advertised due to the COVID-19 situation.
