Sadia arrested over fraudulence remanded

A Dhaka court has placed Sadia, who was arrested for allegedly cheating people through “Bridegroom Wanted” advertisement on newspapers, on a two-day remand.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Masud-Ur-Rahman passed the order after rejecting bail plea on Friday (September 18).

Earlier, CID’s Inspector Shariful Islam Sharif, also Investigation Officer (IO) of the case, produced Sadia before the court and sought for a 10-day remand.

Mentionable, a victim named Nazim Uddin filed a case against Sadia with Gulshan Police Station on Thursday (September 17). At the afternoon, CID arrested her from Gulshan area. Law enforcers also seized many passports, 10 mobile phones, 3 memory cards, 7 seals, many SIM cards and a cheque book of embezzling money through fraudulence.
