UNO Wahida transferred to public administration

Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Ghoraghat upazila of Dinajpur, Wahida Khanam, who was seriously injured in an attack by miscreants, was transferred to the public administration ministry as an officer on special duty (OSD).

Besides, her husband Md Mesbaul Hossain, UNO of Pirganj upazila in Rangpur, was sent to Dhaka, as a senior assistant secretary in the Ministry of Health. Both Wahida and her husband Mesbaul Hossain are 31st BCS officers.

Public administration ministry issued a notification in this regard on Wednesday (September 16).

Earlier on September 2 night, miscreants had entered UNO Wahida Khanam’s residence, assaulted her and her 70-year-old father Omar Ali with a hammer and fled, leaving them critically injured.

Wahida Khanam is presently under treatment at the National Institute of Neurosciences and Hospital in Agargaon of the capital city.
