Maritime ports asked to hoist cautionary signal 3

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) asked the maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar and Mongla to hoist local cautionary signal No 3.

A press release signed by meteorologist AKM Nazmul Haque confirmed the matter on Monday (September 21).

The Met Office said, a deep convection is taking place over North-East Bay and adjoining areas. Under the influence of the deep convection, squally weather may affect the maritime ports, North Bay and adjoining coastal areas of Bangladesh.

All fishing boats and trawlers over Bay to remain close to the coast and proceed with caution until further notice.
