Former Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) Vice President Nurul Haque Nur among seven has been arrested.
They were arrested from Matsya Bhaban area after Monday (September 21) evening.
Deputy Commissioner Walid Hossain, also Chief of media wing of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), confirmed the news to risingbd.
He said, “Seven people including former DUCSU VP Nurul Haque Nur have been arrested after Monday (September 21) evening. They have been taken to the office of Detective Branch (DB) at Minto Road in the capital.”
Earlier, a DU student filed a rape case against Nur and five others with Lalbag Police Station on Sunday (September 21) night.
