ACC files case against Shahed, 4 others

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has filed a case against five people including chairman of Regent Hospital Mohammad Shahed alias Shahed Karim and director of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Aminul Hasan.
ACC deputy director Farid Uddin Ahmed Patwary filed the case with its Integrated District Office-1 in Dhaka on Wednesday (Sept 23).
The other accused are deputy director (hospital-1) doctor Yusuf Ali, assistant director (hospital-1) doctor Shafiur Rahman and research officer doctor Didarul Islam
ACC Secretary Muhammad Delwar Bakht confirmed the matter.
It is learnt that an allegation has been brought against them for embezzling Tk 3.34 crore in the name of sample tests for coronavirus and its treatment costs in the case.
