Saudi Arabia extends validity of Iqama for 24 days

Saudi Arabia has extended validity of Iqama (work permit) for Bangladeshi migrant workers who returned home and stranded here due to coronavirus pandemic.
With this, Saudi Arabia authorities extended validity of Iqama for forth time amid coronavirus outbreak.
Sources of Bangladesh Embassy in Riyadh of Saudi Arabia confirmed the development on Wednesday (September 23). Now it is expected that the flight complications arisen till September 30 will end.
Earlier, Bangladesh government, through the embassy, requested the Saudi Arabia government to extend validity of Iqama for three more months.
An inter-ministerial meeting chaired by Foreign Secretary Masud Bin Momen was held on Wednesday to discuss over Saudi Arabia workers stranded in the country due to coronavirus epidemic. After that meeting, a letter was sent to the Saudi government.
