UNO Wahida likely to be discharged from hospital Thursday

Dinajpur’s Ghoraghat Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Wahida Khanam, who was seriously injured in an attack by miscreants, has almost made recovery. She can now walk on her own. Doctors believe that it is possible to recover completely by taking therapy at the Paralyzed Rehabilitation Center (CRP).  And that’s why, physicians are thinking of discharging Wahida Khanam from the Neuroscience Hospital.

Professor of the National Institute of Neuroscience and Hospital Dr Zahid Hossain, also head of the medical board formed for treatment of Wahid, said, “The strength of UNO Wahida’s hands and legs is close to normal. As long as there is a problem, it will be fine if she takes treatment at home or at the CRP.”

He added, “We are thinking to discharge from hospital tomorrow. I would advise her to go to the CRP for further treatment.”

Mentionable, miscreants entered the dormitory of the Upazila Parishad premises late night on September 2 and attacked on UNO Wahida and her father, leaving them seriously injured.
