Casino scam: ACC asks 8 to submit wealth reports

Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) served notices to eight persons including four government officials and four contractors, seeking their wealth statements.
The watchdog sent separate notices to the persons on Sunday (October 18).
ACC public relations officer (director) Pranab Kumar Bhattachargya confirmed the matter to risingbd.
The accused are – Youth and Sports Ministry’s joint-chief Md. Sazzadul Islam. Deputy Assistant Engineer Ali Akbar of Public Works circle-4, Food Inspector Md Khorshed Alam of Ghatail in Tangail, Dhaka South City Corporation’s Officer Sheikh Kuddus Ahmed, Contractor Moazzem Hossain Sentu of Munshiganj, Contractor Nur-ur-Rashid Chowdhury Ezaz of Chattogram, Jakir Hossain and Abdus Salam of Munshiganj.
They were asked to submit their wealth statement within next 21 working days.
According to ACC sources, the watchdog started investigation against 200 person for their alleged involvement with casino business and money laundering.
