Siddiqur held for allegedly making fake visa

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-1) has arrested a man named Siddiqur Rahman Biswas for his alleged involvement in making counterfeit visa.

Siddiqur was arrested from Kusumbagh area adjacent to Shah Ali Thana in the capital on Wednesday night, the elite force said on Thursday (October 22).

RAB-4 Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Ziaur Rahman Chowdhury said in the primary interrogation, Siddiqur confessed to making fake visa. He has been making fake visa for long time after opening an office named ‘Octopus’ in Bosila and Mazar road area of Mirpur and in Mohammadpur area.

He used to make fake visa for those wishing to go to Malaysia, Russia, India and different countries of Europe and took lakhs of money from them, the police official said.
