Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has ordered authorities concerned to introduce dope testing for drivers as part of road safety campaign in the country.
The premier said this while addressing a discussion marking the National Road Safety Day-2020 as the chief guest from her official Ganabhaban residence through a video conference on Thursday (October 22).
She said, “They (drivers) need to be tested, it is crucial that every driver goes through the dope testing (and) you will have to do it to minimise incidents of road crashes.”
Providing advice to the pedestrians to use zebra crossings, the Prime Minister said, traffic rules are equal for all. Everyone must obey the traffic rules.
