The water transport workers have withdrawn their strike following a fruitful discussion with the State Minister for Labour and Employment Begum Monnujan Sufian.
The decision was taken in a meeting at conference room of the ministry on Thursday (October 220.
Earlier this noon, State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury said, the strike of workers will be solved today.
In reply to a question, he said, the main demand of workers was food allowance. It’s their fair demand.
Earlier on Tuesday (October 20), the water transport workers enforced countrywide indefinite work abstention to press home their 11-point demand.
