Bangladesh for more women`s participation in peacekeeping operations

Bangladesh has called the United Nations to increase women's participation in peacekeeping operations.
The call was made by Ambassador Rabab Fatima, Permanent Representative of Bangladesh to the United Nations, at a virtual event titled ‘Women Leadership in UN Peacekeeping Operations on Friday (October 23rd).
The event was jointly organized by the Bangladesh, Canada and United Kingdom missions to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Security Council’s Landmark Resolution-1325. On 31 October 2000, the Security Council unanimously adopted the first resolution on the role of women in maintaining peace and security.
