Death toll in Narayanganj steel mill explosion rises to 4

Two more workers, who were burnt in an explosion of iron melting pot in a steel mill at Rupganj of Narayanganj, have died, raising the death toll to four.

They are Abu Siddique, 30, and Shakil, 20. 

They succumbed to their injuries on Friday (October 23) night while undergoing treatment at the capital’s Sheikh Hasina Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute.

Earlier, the explosion took place at the Premier Re-rolling Steel Mill on Thursday (October 22) night, leaving a worker killed on the spot. He is known as Mizan.

Another worker Fahim, 30, died on way to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH).

Currently, two workers-- Raju and Rafiq-- have been undergoing treatment at the Sheikh Hasina National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute.
