PM opens DRU`s silver jubilee programme

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has inaugurated the silver jubilee programme of Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU).

The premier inaugurated the programme held at Hotel Intercontinental in the capital after being connected through a video conference from her official residence Ganabhaban at 10:30am on Sunday (October 25).

Chairman of DRU's Silver Jubilee Celebration Committee and former President of the organization Shahjahan Sardar presided over the programme where Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's adviser on private industry and investment Salman Fazlur Rahman and Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud were present at inaugural ceremony as special guests.

DRU President Rafiqul Islam Azad, General Secretary Riaz Chowdhury, among others, also spoke on the occasion.

DRU has adopted various programmes to celebrate its four-day long silver jubilee. Second phase of its programmes will be held on October 29.
