Info Minister makes recovery from coronavirus

Information Minister Dr Hassan Mahmud, also joint general secretary of Awami League, has made recovery from coronavirus.

Mir Akram Uddin Ahmed, director of Information and PRO Department of the Minister of Information, confirmed the development on Sunday (October 25).

He said, “Information Minister tested negative for coronavirus on Saturday (October 24) evening. Sample of his wife also tested for extra caution and also found negative.”

Despite the coronavirus epidemic, Information Minister was continuing working in the Secretariat every day. He was also taking part in outside programmes in compliance with the health guidelines. He was continuing to work in the ministry despite being hospitalized with coronavirus infection.

On October 16, the result of sample test of Information Minister was found positive. He was then taken to the Square Hospital in the capital. He was later admitted to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Hospital. However, Information Minister was free from other health complications during coronavirus infection.
