Tourists stranded at Saint Martin’s return to Teknaf by trawler

Over two hundred of tourists, who were stranded on Saint Martin's Island, returned to Teknaf on Sunday (October 25) by five trawlers.

Confirming the matter, Teknaf’s Jetty Ghat dweller Jasim Mahmud said, the tourists reached the Ghat in Teknaf in five trawlers at around 12:00 pm. Each trawlers carried 65 to 70 tourists.

Saint Martin's Union Parishad chairman Noor Ahmed said, the weather is better now. Tourists have started to return to Cox’s Bazar from Saint Martin.

Earlier, around 400 tourists were stranded at Saint Martin’s Island in of Cox's Bazar following suspension of vessel operation due to inclement weather.
